St Patrick's Weekend - Ocean City, Maryland

Friday, April 4, 2008, 08:40 PM EST [General]

And what a fun weekend it was. My friend Vic and I, got some really good rates at the Paradise Inn, which is on the boardwalk. I don't care how cold it is, nothing beats a balcony with a water view. Having arrived too early to check in, we ambled down to an Irish Pub called Shenanigans. We were in luck, because just as we got there, the Ocean City Pipe Band, was getting assembled on the boardwalk. We followed them inside, for a performance. Let me tell you, Ocean City rocks on St Patricks Day weekend. Everywhere you go, you see green. We then check in, and headed to The Green Turtle, to shoot pool. LOL I love it when you go to shoot pool, and there is only 1 table. After a half hour wait, we got to play a pair of AARP age players, who beat the pants off us. Thanks for sinking the 8 ball early Vic - SMACK !!!. We then headed back to Shenanigans, and got to see Paul Gallagher and Off the Dock or On The Dock, I forget. They were awsome. as they combined Irish tunes with modern tunes. A great evening. The rain pelted down, as I head back to the Hotel before my friend. One funny note - as I was on the balcony earlier, I looked down and saw a troop of confederate soldiers, using the bathroom house. I took photos and videos. I will post some in the future

    Eastern Shore Road Trip

Sunday, March 9, 2008, 11:25 PM EST [General]

I, and a friend, will be crossing the Bay Bridge, and heading to both Salisbury & Ocean City Maryland. This will be Fri - Sun. I will be scouting new areas to both work and live in, as I move myself closer to DE. Once I am actually living in that region, I can devote my free time to setting up a Rennfest in Delaware.

Keep the faith - those who have expressed an interest.

    Cheers

Yar P-) Pleasure to "meet" you. I live in PA and have 3 or 4 faires much closer to my home, but I've enjoyed the MDRF so much that we plan a weekend with friends there whenever possible. The next time we get there I'll be sure to let you know, and perhaps I can say hi. :-)
